On 31st October 2018 we were very pleased to hold the Foundation’s Dinner and Charity Auction at the Savile Club in Mayfair, London. With over 100 attendees on the evening the event was a real success and raised enough funds to allow the Trustees to trigger the commencement of the Foundation’s second Through The Gates Programme.

Johnson with. Tony Vieira, Carly Paoli and Rupert Bravery.
During the event, Johnson provided an update on the work of the Foundation and thanked everyone for supporting its important work. Although the Foundation has only been in existence for a few years it is clear that its work is helping improve the lives of the clients, and reducing the likelihood of reoffending.
Entertainment during the evening was provided by Carly Paoli, the classical star and BRIT nominee. She sang pieces from ‘Mi Mancherai’ from the Italian movie ‘Il Postino” and ‘Song to the Moon’ from ‘Rusalka’.
The auction was generously supported with prizes including replica medals with a signed photograph of Johnson, a seven night stay at Chiang Mai, and a tour of the Aston Martin Red Bull Racing facility at Milton Keynes. The main prize was a portrait sitting with Nick Lord. Nick painted the picture of Johnson which now hangs at Stanford Hall, the site of the new Defence and National Rehabilitation Centre. The Trustees thanked all who attended, and those who provided prizes and participated in the auction. Thanks also go to the marketing agency KHWS for designing and printing the brochure for the event pro bono and the Savile Club for generously assisting with the food and drink.
